Imprest Business Services are Perth's small business specialists.

Bookkeeping is essential in any successful business. Most small to medium business owners are simply too busy to keep up with day to day paperwork and all the legislative requirements of running a business.

The one thing that many small business owners lack is time. And one way to gain more time is to outsource.

Outsourcing also gives you the advantage of accessing your bookkeeper's specialist knowledge and experience. Remember that bookkeepers talk to many small business owners and Accountants; you can also ask them for tips on how other clients do their advertising, source referrals or reduce costs.

An outsourcing solution can provide you with more time and more readily available management information to help you work on your core business, whilst potentially reducing overhead costs and enjoying flexible accounting.

Best of all, you have the security of knowing the job is done professionally while you get back to running your business.

Located in Joondalup and Kalamunda, Imprest Business Services are your complete bookkeeping and administration service. With over 20 years experience, Imprest Business Services can tailor a range of services to suit your needs.

Staff Profiles

JOONDALUP

Kelly Brennan ANIA – Managing Director, Senior Bookkeeper.
Associate member of the National Institute of Accountants, Advanced Diploma of Accounting (Awarded Best Student), MYOB Certified Consultant & authorised re-seller, Registered BAS Agent.

I find Kelly absolutely fantastic. She has incredible personality with an amazing level of attention to detail. Besides her professional expertise in bookkeeping,  Kelly is also an excellent organiser and great at refining processes and procedures – it’s due to her efforts that everyone in the office can find all the necessary stationery and relevant office procedures.

As a bookkeeper,  Kelly always keeps up to date with legislation changes and promptly advises  company managers as required.  She keeps on top of things and shows initiative in suggesting ways to improve organisational processes. I highly recommend working with Kelly, so that you too could benefit from her experience and expertise.

Elena Volodchenko, Lefroy Valley

Business Tip - Delay Asset Purchases

Small business taxpayers will soon benefit from more generous depreciation rules which will ultimately improve cash flow by allowing bigger deductions in earlier years following the purchase of a depreciating asset (e.g. office machines, furniture, equipment, cars etc.). Commencing 1 July 2012, small business taxpayers (i.e. those with an annual turnover of less than $2 million, including the turnover of affiliates and associated

Streamline Your Super

Business Tip
Streamline Your Super
Instead of paying superannuation contributions
into the fund nominated by each employee
(which can be quite time-consuming particularly
where, as is often the case, employees in the
same company nominate different funds from
one another) use the Government’s Small
Business Superannuation Clearing House
instead!
Introduced on 1 July 2010, the Clearing House
streamlines your employee superannuation
obligations by allowing you to pay all
Superannuation Guarantee contributions to a
single location – Medicare Australia. Having
made these payments, your obligations are
complete. Medicare Australia is then responsible
for distributing the amounts to each of your
employees’ nominated superannuation funds.
Put simply, the Clearing House facility takes the
hassle out of super.
Having been operational for more than one year
now, 98% of surveyed employers using the
Clearing House are satisfied with the service. To
register for this free service, visit the Medicare
Australia website.
